Mortson’s work was recently included in the emerging artist category of Magenta Foundation’s publication, Carte Blanche Vol.2 Painting. She was long-listed for the Sobey Art Award in 2008 and the RBC Painting Competition in 2004. Her work has been exhibited at The Ottawa Art Gallery, MOCCA, Artcite (Ontario); Khyber Gallery (Nova Scotia); The Edmonton Art Gallery (Alberta); The Beaverbrook Art Gallery and Struts Gallery (New Brunswick) among other venues across Canada. Her paintings are in The Canada Council Art Bank as well as private collections in Canada and the U.S.
